Artist's Comments

she's a creeper,
never-sleeper,
found-her-on-the-street,
let's-keep-her,
feed her all our table scraps,
let her jump onto our laps,
watch her take some sun-beam naps-
watch her cry, a silent weeper.

That hair almost looks like straw. I want to draw it.

Ive got a camera obscura stuck in my head. Many call it an eccentric mind. I call it mine.

I can't tell which is more powerful-the poem or the picture. Looking at the picture closely, I noticed that you focused on the hair instead of the face, and I realized that that's something most people avoid. Usually they like to accentuate the eyes or the lips, but this is totally innovative! We see her hair perfectly, but its the face underneath that remains a mystery.

To say the least, this shot goes perfectly with the poem.

I love your comment!! You are definitely invited back to comment on any of my other pictures that capture your eye. I'm working on editing more as we speak- admittedly, my past work isn't... the best...

Thank you very much. I also liked that the face is not the focus. It adds to the dark theme.

*laughs* Well I'm glad you liked it! I was trying so hard to organize my thoughts on your photo into something comprehensible, so it wouldn't turn into something like : "Whoa...I like this." or "Neat Photo.", but I think I rambled a bit.

This really did strike me as odd at first, though, because of the interesting focus. But after I read the poem, and realized how original and new this perspective was, I fell in love with it! Great use of poetry and visual aids! And your right, the blurred face really adds the mood to the piece.

I would love to see more of your work!

I love this but Space Monkey-Placebo comes to mind when I see this image. That song just makes me think of sexy sultry Alt chicks like Rose McGowan and Christina Ricci

Thankyou darling, but I am so sorry to hear about your nightmare!!

Lately, my dreams have been quite pleasant... :] I dreamed, last night, that I got my hands on the girl from that show House M.D, the bisexual one. Sigh. Sorry, I'm very sleepy.
